1. The ancestor of the Shimosaka school is said to be "Shimosaka Hachirozaemon"
who lived in North Sakamoto Shimosaka in Omi around the Tensho era (around 1573) during the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
It is said to be the father or brother of Yasutsugu Echizen.
The swordsmiths named "Shimosaka" are scattered all over the country,
but all the headwaters originate from Shimosaka in Omi.
