Japanese sword Military Kai Gunto signed Tango no kami Fujiwara Kiyokane

Description

Antique Japanese sword in Military Kai Gunto Mounts. Blade is signed Tango No Kami Fujiwara Kiyokane.  The nakago looks to have been heated and filed to fit into the mounts. Probably someones family sword that was taken to war.
blade Age Kanbun Shinto 1660 time frame. Blade cutting edge is 26 3/16th inches. motohaba 1 1/8th inch, boshi is ko maru. Hamon is Gunome Midare. kitai (lamination ) is  itame hada.  has some ware , small light rust esp by boshi tip, scuffing. condition is as we received it. This came out of a small collection of blade we recently purchased from a local family. the father was a doctor stationed n  japan at the end of the war. The old kai gunto mounts are in very good condition.

Domestic Shipping
:  We are mailing from Hawaii -zone 8 so the U.S. postage rate may be slightly more than the shipping between states on the US mainland. I try to use Flat rate U.S. Priority mail ( 3-5 days) for heavy items that will fit in those boxes. Please note that items sent by Parcel Post or Media mail ( for books) is the most economical but the mail can take a long time to the mainland. Its been averaging anywhere from 1- 3 weeks but can take up to 4-6 weeks depending on where you live on the mainland & Holiday time of year.
International Shipping
: Express mail & Priority is the preferred method .Too many packages have gotten "lost".Some countries I will ship by First class airmail . if the weight permits. so please contact me
