Concourse quality E36 M3, arguably the best M3 ever produced in terms of analog handling, power to weight ratio, and feel. Subsequent generations got progressively heavier, larger. and devoid of feedback.
This is no ordinary daily driver, but rather a well kept collector car worthy of even the most discerning collections.
At 28k miles this M3 had an easy life, as it changed hands from collector to collector over the last few decades and received only the best care and attention.
I purchased this car a few years back to celebrate a big birthday and at the time it was the best condition E36 I could locate *anywhere* regardless of price.
I'm selling this along with my E36 M3/4/5 in order to fund an even rarer/Euro E36 M3.
This M3 was sourced from LBI imports which kept it their fleet for some time as well.
The exterior of the car is as it came from the factory, with the exception of the lower intake grill which was replaced with a paint matched piece by a previous owner. The original is unpainted and included to bring it back to stock in a few min.
Paint is near perfect and you would have to put on magnifying glasses to find a single imperfection. It also measures with a paint meter as expected in all areas as you can see from the pics.
The color is Estoril blue which is one of the most desirable and in my opinion the best available.
The interior features black leather vaders in pristine condition which are in my opinion the best seats made at the time.  It looks and smells like new. All surfaces look like new with no scuffs or scratches or signs of use. You’d be hard pressed to find a cleaner interior. The black leather seats were installed under my ownership as it came to me with a non-stock fabric interior.
This M3 is all stock and unmolested including stock radio/cassette, exhaust, intake, suspension etc. It is virtually impossible to find a fully stock E36 these days as most have have a long hard life in the hands of spirited young drivers.
The wheels are original DS2's without any signs of use whatsoever. Even the spare is pristine. The undercarriage looks exactly like what you’d expect from a car that has been kept inside and driven so few miles, close to new condition. Even the rear shocks have the original stickers on them. There are no leaks whatsoever.
I have performed all the required maintenance under my ownership of a few thousand miles including oil, coolant, filters and transmission oil. It needs nothing to be enjoyed.
The car shows a rebuilt title which took place recently and while under my ownership. It was submerged in fresh water for a brief period during a storm which reached the dash, so the insurance company decided to total it, without even inspecting so I purchased it back and re-built the title.
Within hours of the water exposure I had pulled the complete interior to dry properly and lubricated the few connectors that got wet. The only damage was a window motor in the drivers side which was replaced.
I have full documentation of the process (photos and videos) to ease the mind of any buyer. I have not had a single issue from this event and the car works perfectly.  A knowledgeable buyer likely understands the difference between fresh and salt water exposure and a car sitting in stationary water versus driving through it. The process of rebuilding a title in NJ includes a very thorough and extensive inspection which we passed on the first try.
The CarFax history shows zero accidents or damage from previous owners.
E36 M3 values keep rising, and will likely keep rising especially for pristine and low mileage versions like this one. This car presents and drives like new. Even my well maintained M3/4/5 doesn't feel anything like this, its like a time capsule and the closest indication of what a new E36 performed like in the mid 90s'.
    Items that need addressing:
    • New cupholder to match quality of interior as the rubberized finish has deteriorated.
    • Volume control is sticky, which I will replace prior to selling/shipping.
    • Ceramic coating is likely past its lifespan and should be redone if you plan to expose it to rain or snow.
    • Ignition switch occasionally spins which is a common issue and an easy repair on E36's.
Some of the photos are from the original listing from when I first purchased it. They are so good I just had to share them. The rest are under my ownership which looks essentially the same. I have a few hundred pictures available too many to list here, please inquire if you're seriously interested and I will forward.
Includes two keys with single alarm key fob and a full and complete original BMW trunk toolkit.
